There’s a version of entrepreneurship that shows up a lot online – fast growth, instant confidence, and clear wins.
That hasn’t been my experience.
What has been real is building something meaningful with care, patience, and intention, while also navigating the practical realities of work and income – something many families, educators, and caregivers are doing right now.
Why This Work Matters to Me
I create curriculum because I believe learning should feel safe, curious, and accessible. Children learn best when they are supported as whole people, especially those who don’t thrive in rigid or one-size-fits-all environments.
This work is rooted in experience, reflection, and respect for how children actually learn. It’s thoughtful by design- and that means it’s built to last, not rush.
The Early Stages Are Quiet- and That’s Okay
Right now, this business is in an early growth stage.
The ideas are strong. The foundation is solid. The visibility is still growing.
At the same time, I’m (Laura, founder) exploring additional work opportunities alongside this project. That isn’t a lack of belief — it’s a commitment to sustainability. Many meaningful businesses are built this way, step by step, alongside real-life responsibilities.
Like for many others, the job hunt for a full-time position has been really frustrating and difficult. I am working VERY part time in communications but my experience and skills from it are just not resonating with employers that are offering full-time positions.
I am hoping that the year 2026 brings success with both Accessible Pathways and my employment situation.
Why I’m Sharing This
I believe transparency builds trust. I also believe it’s okay to talk about building something meaningful before it’s widely visible.
Progress doesn’t always announce itself loudly- sometimes it shows up as consistency, refinement, and staying committed when growth is slow.
Looking Ahead
What hasn’t changed is my commitment to creating calm, inclusive, and engaging learning experiences.
What hasn’t changed is my belief that curiosity should feel safe, learning should feel humane, and educators deserve resources that respect both children and their own capacity.
This work is growing- thoughtfully, intentionally, and at its own pace. I am also very grateful for the teachers that are volunteering to bring my work to life and add in their own special touches.
